Postmortem submergence interval (PMSI) and human decomposition in anthropogenically constructed aqueous environments (pools, bathtubs, hot tubs, and spas)

open access: yesJournal of Forensic Sciences, Volume 71, Issue 4, Page 1718-1734, July 2026.
Abstract Postmortem decomposition changes of bodies in aquatic environments may offer valuable insights into the postmortem submergence interval (PMSI) for medicolegal death investigators. However, the effects of immersion on the onset of such changes are poorly understood.

Multiaxial Biophysical Control of Oncogenic Phase Separation by Indoleamines: A Proof‐of‐Concept Synthesis of Landscape‐Level Regulation

open access: yesJournal of Pineal Research, Volume 78, Issue 4, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Oncogenic condensates act as biophysical sanctuaries that stabilize malignant survival programs. However, a universal regulator capable of orchestrating the integrated biophysical axes governing cellular phase behavior has remained elusive.

Oscillating sessile liquid marble - A tool to assess effective surface tension

open access: yes, 2022
A long-standing problem of liquid-marble based technology is the inconsistency of the effective surface tension values. This inconsistency could be due to particle size, particle type, volume of the liquid marble or the preparation method. The prevailing

Safety evaluation of the food enzyme mannan endo‐1,4‐β‐mannosidase from the non‐genetically modified Aspergillus niger HBI‐GM01

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 24, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract The food enzyme mannan endo‐1,4‐β‐mannosidase (1,4‐β‐d‐mannan mannanohydrolase; EC 3.2.1.78) is produced with the non‐genetically modified Aspergillus niger strain HBI‐GM01 by HBI Enzymes Inc. The food enzyme was considered free from viable cells of the production organism.

Experimental research on rock fracture failure characteristics under liquid nitrogen cooling conditions

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2018
As liquid nitrogen is injected into a wellbore as fracturing fluid, it can rapidly absorb heat from warmer rock and generate cryogenic condition in downhole region.

Boolean Gates Based on Liquid Marbles

open access: yesCoRR
Liquid Marbles are liquid droplets encapsulated by hydrophobic powder particles. They offer an efficient approach to handling liquids due to their non-wetting nature. In this work, starting from the interaction gate proposed in the literature, we describe how the logic gates AND, XOR, OR, NOT, NAND, and NOR could be realized.
