Three new alkamides, tulipiferamides A-C (1-3, respectively), and 30 known compounds (4-33) were obtained from the roots of Liriodendron tulipifera (Magnoliaceae). Dehydrotemisin (4), an elemane sesquiterpene lactone, was isolated for the first time from

American tulipwood (Liriodendron tulipifera L.) as an innovative material in CLT technology
Annals of WULS, Forestry and Wood Technology, 2021American tulipwood (Liriodendron tulipifera L.) as an innovative material in CLT technology. CLT (cross laminated timber, X-Lam) is one type of engineered wood products. The first idea of CLT was presented in the seventies of the last century.

Chemical Constituents of Liriodendron tulipifera
Chemistry of Natural Compounds, 2013dealt with several alkaloids andsesquiterpenes [3–11]. Previously, we have isolated three aporphines, one oxoaporphine, three lignans, ten benzenoids, andfour steroids from the leaves of this plant [12]. To further understand the chemotaxonomy and to continue searching forbiologically and chemically novel agents ...

Formation of liriodendritol in Liriodendron tulipifera
Phytochemistry, 1988Abstract Incorporation studies with tulip tree leaves, Liriodendron tulipifera L., using labelled inositols show that the formation of liriodendritol starts in fully expanded adult leaves and d -ononitol functions as precursor. Bornesitol contained in these leaves was identified as d -bornesitol.
