Fractional (P,Q)-Total List Colorings of Graphs

open access: yesDiscussiones Mathematicae Graph Theory, 2013
Let r, s ∈ N, r ≥ s, and P and Q be two additive and hereditary graph properties. A (P,Q)-total (r, s)-coloring of a graph G = (V,E) is a coloring of the vertices and edges of G by s-element subsets of Zr such that for each color i, 0 ≤ i ≤ r − 1, the ...

SmallTalk: a novel small‐sized fusion tag for peptide expression and purification

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The SmallTalk fusion tag allows for the efficient expression and purification of soluble recombinant proteins or peptides in Escherichia coli. Testing with SmallTalk‐GFP confirmed that the proteins were soluble and folded correctly, while SmallTalk‐Bin1b maintained its antimicrobial activity against various bacterial isolates. This streamlined workflow

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF COLORING ALGORITHMS FOR ORDINARY WEIGHTED GRAPH

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Research, 2014
Algorithms of solving the “minimax” weighted graph coloring problem are considered and compared. The mathematical formulation of the problem is presented; the solution optimality criteria are stated.

Naked cuticle is essential for Drosophila wing development beyond Wingless signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Naked cuticle (Nkd), a Wnt signaling inhibitor, assumes extensive roles in Drosophila wing development. Overexpressing Nkd causes smaller, crumpled wings, while also perturbing multiple signaling pathways and developmental genes. A specific region (R1S) is critical for Nkd's function as a signaling integrator, offering new insights for studying its ...

Antibiofilm activity of a chionodracine‐derived peptide by NMR‐based metabolomics of cell‐free supernatant of Acinetobacter baumannii clinical strains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
KHS‐Cnd peptide is able to impair biofilm formation and disaggregate mature biofilms in Acinetobacter baumannii clinical isolates. Differences in extracellular metabolites reflect changes in biofilm metabolism due to KHS‐Cnd treatment. Among the differentially represented extracellular metabolites upon KHS‐Cnd treatment, the significantly altered ...

A smaller upper bound for the list injective chromatic number of planar graphs

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
An injective vertex coloring of a graph $ G $ is a coloring where no two vertices that share a common neighbor are assigned the same color. If for any list $ L $ of permissible colors with size $ k $ assigned to the vertices $ V(G) $ of a graph $ G ...

Pathogenic Neurofibromatosis type 1 gene variants in tumors of non‐NF1 patients and role of R1276

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Somatic variants of the neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) gene occur across neoplasms without clinical manifestation of the disease NF1. We identified emerging somatic pathogenic NF1 variants and hotspots, for example, at the arginine finger 1276. Those missense variants provide fundamental information about neurofibromin's role in cancer.

Technique of histochemical staining on the activity of acid phosphatase for identification of larvae of the first stage of nematodes of Dirofilaria immitis, D. repens, Acanthocheilonema dracunculoides and A. reconditum species from the blood of dogs

open access: yesРоссийский паразитологический журнал, 2019
The technique of staining on the activity of acid phosphatase has been modified, which makes it possible to differentiate between larvae of the first stage of nematodes of four species: Dirofilaria immitis, D. repens, Acanthocheilonema dracunculoides, A.

ATP13A2 is involved in intracellular polyamine transport in lung epithelial cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Spermidine transport in lung epithelial cells involves the polyamine transporter ATP13A2. Cell proliferation is associated with the upregulation of ATP13A2. Polyamines are present in all living cells and are implicated in various crucial cellular processes such as proliferation, apoptosis and autophagy.
