Calligraphic poling of Lithium Niobate
We demonstrate a novel technique for instituting complex and arbitrary shaped micron-scale domain patterns in LiNbO3 at room temperature. Fabrication of continuous domains as narrow as 2 microm across and hexagonal patterns of the same order accompanied by real time visualization of the poling process are presented.

NaBO2/NaAlO2 dual-coating: A novel strategy for high-performance sodium-ion battery cathodes
The development of cost-effective and resource-abundant sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) is crucial for large-scale energy storage and electric vehicle field. However, the commercial layered transition metal oxide cathodes in SIBs still face some drawbacks of

Self-Diffusion of Lithium in Amorphous Lithium Niobate Layers [PDF]
Abstract We investigated lithium self-diffusion in amorphous lithium niobate layers between 298 and 423 K. For the experiments, amorphous 6LiNbO3/ 7LiNbO3 isotope hetero-structures were deposited by ion beam sputtering and analysed after diffusion annealing by secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS).

Inverse-Designed Lithium Niobate Nanophotonics
Lithium niobate-on-insulator (LNOI) is an emerging photonic platform that exhibits favorable material properties (such as low optical loss, strong nonlinearities, and stability) and enables large-scale integration with stronger optical confinement, showing promise for future optical networks, quantum processors, and nonlinear optical systems.

Investigation of Ytterbium Incorporation in Lithium Niobate for Active Waveguide Devices
In this work, we report on an investigation of the ytterbium diffusion characteristics in lithium niobate. Ytterbium-doped substrates were prepared by in-diffusion of thin metallic layers coated onto x- and z-cut congruent substrates at different ...
