Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Abundance Anomalies in Red Giants [PDF]
The stellar theory is well developed to explain most of the inner workings of stars; however, researchers occasionally come across things that won’t comply with the general understanding.

In previous work, we identified a population of 38 cool and luminous variable stars in the Magellanic Clouds and examined 11 in detail in order to classify them as either Thorne–Żytkow objects (TŻOs; red supergiants with a neutron star cores) or super ...

Lithium abundances in metal-poor stars [PDF]
Aims. Lithium abundances for 19 metal-poor stars are determined using high-resolution spectroscopy. The abundances of stars on the lithium plateau are discussed. Methods. All abundance results are derived from NLTE statistical equilibrium calculations and spectrum synthesis methods. Results.

This work explores Li‐substituted P2 layered oxides for Na‐ion batteries by crystallographic and electrochemical studies. The effect of lithium on superstructure orderings, on phase transitions during synthesis and electrochemical cycling and on the interplay of O‐ versus TM‐redox is revealed via various advanced techniques, including semi‐simultaneous

We present lithium abundances for 119 main-sequence stars in the old open cluster NGC 188 (age = 6.3 Gyr), using high-resolution, high signal-to-noise ratio spectra from WIYN/Hydra.

Light Elements in the Universe
Due to their production sites, as well as to how they are processed and destroyed in stars, the light elements are excellent tools to investigate a number of crucial issues in modern astrophysics: from stellar structure and non-standard processes at work

Lithium Abundances in Solar-Type Stars [PDF]
We report Li abundances from the λ6707 line for 19 nearby dwarf and subgiant solar-type stars. The unevolved stars in this sample present high (> 2.00) Li abundances. We found a few cases of subgiant stars which present high Li content. The Sun seems to be part of a population of nearly unevolved stars which have depleted their Li to a high degree ...

Metal‐tetracene dimeric complexes are synthesized through the pyridyl coordination to either Pt(II) or Pd(II). Photophysical properties are systematically compared as a function of the metal using steady‐state and time‐resolved spectroscopy. The Pt(II) dimer exhibits efficient intramolecular singlet fission and subsequent intramolecular up‐conversion ...
