Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part A: Molecular & Integrative Physiology
An integrated range of behavioral, physiological, and biochemical adjustments reduces metabolic expenditure and energy utilization during fasting to maintain homeostasis. In order to cope with these adjustments, several vertebrates can modulate immune function and corticosterone secretion while fasting to save energy.

EcoHealth, 2013
The emerging fungal pathogen, Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis (Bd), has been associated with global amphibian population declines and extinctions. American bullfrogs (Lithobates catesbeianus) are widely reported to be a tolerant host and a carrier of Bd that spreads the pathogen to less tolerant hosts.

Ultrastructure of the bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus‐Shaw, 1802) oviduct in different seasons
Microscopy Research and Technique, 2013ABSTRACTThe bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus) is an exotic animal that adapted perfectly to the climatic conditions of Brazil after introduction in the country. These climatic conditions favor the reproduction and fattening of bullfrogs. However, the development of the bullfrog is significantly reduced in colder regions because low temperatures affect

Escape strategy and vocalization during escape by American Bullfrogs (Lithobates catesbeianus)
Amphibia-Reptilia, 2011Abstract American bullfrogs, Lithobates catesbeianus, escape by jumping into water and submerging, often vocalizing as they flee. I studied effects of several risk factors on escape and refuge use and the association between vocalization by fleeing frogs and escape by other individuals nearby.
