Abstract Janá ček’s autograph is undated, but he wrote the piece into an album containing com¬ positions mostly originating during his studies at the Prague Organ School in 1874-5, where it is flanked by the Graduale ‘Speciosus forma’ 11/1 (dated 29 Dec 1874) and Benedictus 11/5 (dated 17 Feb 1875).
