Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

On the performance of the Jackknifed Liu-type estimator in linear regression model

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper, we are proposing a modified jackknife Liu-type estimator (MJLTE) that was created by combining the ideas underlying both the Liu-type estimator (LTE) and the jackknifed Liu-type estimator (JLTE).

Regularized estimation for the generalized Poisson regression model under multicollinearity with application to carbon dioxide emissions

open access: yesJournal of Radiation Research and Applied Sciences
The generalized Poisson regression model (GPORM) offers a flexible framework for addressing many count data challenges, notably over- and underdispersion.

Unsupervised Liu-type shrinkage estimators for mixture of regression models

open access: yesStatistical Methods in Medical Research
The mixture of probabilistic regression models is one of the most common techniques to incorporate the information of covariates into learning of the population heterogeneity. Despite its flexibility, unreliable estimates can occur due to multicollinearity among covariates.

Creep‐Induced Microstructural Evolution in an A2‐B2 Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A 27.3Ta‐27.3Mo‐27.3Ti‐8Cr‐10Al (at.%) refractory high‐entropy alloy with precipitation‐strengthened A2‐B2 microstructure was studied by creep tests at 1030°C, which demonstrate a transition in deformation mechanisms in the range of 100–150 MPa applied stress. This is associated with changes in dislocation–precipitate interactions. Relevant deformation

Modified two parameter ridge estimator for beta regression model

open access: yesJournal of Radiation Research and Applied Sciences
A beta regression model (BRM) typically occurs when your data involves proportions or continuous response variables that are bounded between 0 and 1, and the distributional assumptions and functional forms of a GLM with a standard error distribution (e.g.

Electrochemical Behavior of Flame‐Sprayed Sc‐Doped AlCoCrFeMo High‐Entropy Alloy Coatings in 3.5% Sodium Chloride Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

On the stochastic restricted Liu-type maximum likelihood estimator in logistic regression model

open access: yes, 2019
In order to overcome multicollinearity, we propose a stochastic restricted Liu-type maximum likelihood estimator by incorporating Liu-type maximum likelihood estimator to the logistic regression model when the linear restrictions are stochastic.

New Versions of Liu-type Estimator in Weighted and non-weighted Mixed Regression Model

open access: yesمجلة بغداد للعلوم, 2020
This paper considers and proposes new estimators that depend on the sample and on prior information in the case that they either are equally or are not equally important in the model.

Low Cycle Repetitive Loading of Ti‐6Al‐4V‐Epoxy Composite Lattice Structures for Enhanced Energy Dissipation and Damage Tolerance

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Composite Ti–6Al–4V–epoxy lattice structures are additively manufactured and epoxy infiltrated for cyclic loading. At low lattice volume fractions, hybridization produces synergistic gains in stiffness and energy dissipation. At higher volume fractions, synergy diminishes, although composites still exceed metallic lattices in specific energy ...
