New Zealand Journal of Crop and Horticultural Science, 1973 Abstract The age at which ewes reach their maximum live weight depends on the environment. At Lincoln College ewes increase in live weight from the two‐tooth stage to a maximum at 5–6 years and then decline. The increase is about 8 kg. In the high‐country environment no such increase occurs.
