Age and live weight in sheep [PDF]

Abstract The age at which ewes reach their maximum live weight depends on the environment. At Lincoln College ewes increase in live weight from the two‐tooth stage to a maximum at 5–6 years and then decline. The increase is about 8 kg. In the high‐country environment no such increase occurs.
