Influence of Malic Acid and Calcium Chloride on Microbial Loads and Quality Characteristics of Fresh‐Cut Mango

open access: yesInternational Journal of Food Science, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Fresh‐cut fruits are susceptible to the proliferation of emerging pathogenic bacteria such as Listeria monocytogenes, causing public health concerns. However, the demand for these products has been intensifying in recent years; for this reason, there is greater interest in developing methods that guarantee their microbiological safety and maintain ...

Assessment of Spatial and Temporal Nitrate Dynamics in a Medium‐Sized Watershed Using SWAT‐RIVE

open access: yesHydrological Processes, Volume 39, Issue 12, December 2025.
Nitrate dynamics in a catchment with multiple anthropogenic pressures were evaluated with SWAT‐RIVE. The results show that 54% of soil nitrate is removed by denitrification, mainly in agricultural areas and wetlands, 8.5% of nitrate inputs to soils reach the river system, and 1.7% is removed by in‐stream processes.

Joint Stiffness Influence on the First-Order Seismic Capacity of Dry-Joint Masonry Structures: Numerical DEM Investigations

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2022
Heritage masonry structures are often modelled as dry-jointed structures. On the one hand, it may correspond to the reality where the initial mortar was weak, missing, or has disappeared through time because of erosion and lixiviation. On the other hand,
