Let's Co! The how‐to of working within a co‐production framework to devise, design and execute collaborative multisite clinical trials

open access: yesBritish Journal of Clinical Psychology, EarlyView.
Abstract Objectives To document the steps undertaken in a full collaborative co‐production design process undertaken between a group of lived experience, clinical and research collaborators to determine the selection and design of three large‐scale, multisite, clinically focused studies (including two clinical trials) targeting eating disorders.

Adaptive Sampling for BRDF Acquisition

open access: yesComputer Graphics Forum, EarlyView.
We propose a data‐driven adaptive sampling strategy that predicts the optimal sampling pattern and count for BRDF acquisition from a single image, reducing capture time while preserving quality. Abstract The bidirectional reflectance distribution function (BRDF) describes the ratio of incoming radiance to outgoing radiance for all possible pairs of ...

Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Cognitive Impairment: Implications for Surgical Outcomes

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The influence of coexisting obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and cognitive impairment (CI) on perioperative outcomes is unclear, despite its potential clinical significance. We aimed to compare clinical outcomes between surgical patients with OSA or high risk OSA (OSA/HR‐OSA) who have CI and those without CI.

A Note on Local Polynomial Regression for Time Series in Banach Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Time Series Analysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This work extends local polynomial regression to Banach space‐valued time series for estimating smoothly varying means and their derivatives in non‐stationary data. The asymptotic properties of both the standard and bias‐reduced Jackknife estimators are analyzed under mild moment conditions, establishing their convergence rates.

Enhanced Corrosion Resistance of Carbon Steel Rebar in Chloride-Containing Water Solutions: The Role of Lotus Extract in Corrosion Inhibition

open access: yesMetals
Corrosion inhibitors play a crucial role in the corrosion protection of rebars in reinforced concrete structures under harsh service conditions. However, conventional corrosion inhibitors often suffer from low efficiency and environmental concerns.

Enhancement and validation of a quantitative GC–MS method for the detection of ∆9-THC and THCCOOH in postmortem blood and urine samples

open access: yesMethodsX
Cannabis is frequently detected in forensic investigations and is associated with an increased risk of fatal car crashes. This study aims to develop a method to detect and measure ∆9-tetrahydrocannabinol (∆9-THC) in blood and its metabolite, 11-nor-9 ...

Fast and Sensitive Measurement of Off‐Flavors in Recirculating Aquaculture Systems

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, Volume 40, Issue 15, 15 August 2026.
ABSTRACT Rationale Geosmin and 2‐methylisoborneol (2‐MIB) are odor‐active compounds responsible for earthy off‐flavors in fish, creating significant quality concerns in recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). Their extremely low odor thresholds make rapid and highly sensitive detection essential for maintaining product quality and consumer acceptance ...

Optimized SPE‐HPLC‐FLD Method for the Simultaneous Determination of Olaparib, Propranolol, and Furosemide in Human Urine

open access: yesBiomedical Chromatography, Volume 40, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Olaparib belongs to the PARP inhibitors and is widely used as an anticancer drug. Due to frequent side effects, it is usually co‐administered with an antihypertensive, such as propranolol and/or an antidiuretic, such as furosemide. In this study, a highly sensitive HPLC‐FLD method was developed for the simultaneous determination of the three ...

Schools as Sites of Activism: Students' Political Socialisation and Activism at School

open access: yesChildren &Society, Volume 40, Issue 4, Page 611-620, July 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper explores students' political socialisation and activism at school. It draws on research from two datasets: interviews with 24 activists aged 15–25, and data from a national survey of 1600 school students in Wales. Wales offers a unique perspective as a case study for the enactment of young people's civil and political rights, given ...
