Bright Ferritin for Non‐Invasive MRI Monitoring of the Fate of Transplanted hPSC‐Cardiomyocytes in the Infarcted Rat Heart

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 1, Page 323-338, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To demonstrate that a recently reported bright ferritin magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) platform can track transplanted human pluripotent stem cell (hPSC)‐derived cardiomyocytes (hPSC‐CMs) longitudinally and on‐demand in the rat heart.

Simulation‐Informed Evaluation of Microvascular Parameter Mapping for Diffusion MR Imaging of Solid Tumours

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 1, Page 387-402, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose We aim to inform the design of new diffusion MRI (dMRI) approaches for microvasculature quantification that enhance the biological specificity of imaging towards cancer. Methods We adopted simulation‐informed modelling of the vascular dMRI signal. We synthesised signals from 1500 synthetic vascular networks, for a variety of protocols (

Perceptions of Speech‐Language Pathology Care in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis: A Patient‐Centered Exploratory Study

open access: yesMuscle &Nerve, Volume 74, Issue 1, Page 216-224, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction/Aims Given limited research on patient perspectives of speech‐language pathology (SLP) services in ALS care, this study aimed to assess the satisfaction with, and understanding of, SLP services by people with ALS (pwALS) and to examine the alignment between services received and patient‐reported impairments.

Digitizing collections to unlock the full potential of palynology: A case study with the Smithsonian palynology collection

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, Volume 8, Issue 4, Page 1116-1131, July 2026.
Large palynological collections have been built over decades and contain vital information. However, they are often difficult to access and use effectively. What is the point of having such collections if they are not fully utilizable? To solve this problem, we digitized the Smithsonian palynological collection using both light and confocal microscopy.

Multidisciplinary Management of Tracheal Perforation: A Case of Successful Reconstruction and Stenting

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 7, July 2026.
We present the case of a 67‐year‐old man with papillary thyroid carcinoma who developed a tracheocutaneous fistula following proton beam therapy and chemotherapy for metastatic disease. Airway repair and recanalization were successfully achieved through a combined surgical and bronchoscopic approach.
