Comparison of Clinical Performance of Ambu Aura40 Laryngeal Mask Airway with Classic Laryngeal Mask Airway for Spontaneous Ventilation during Elective Surgeries under General Anaesthesia

open access: yesAirway, 2021
Background: Introduction of the laryngeal mask airway (LMA) has revolutionised the practice of anaesthesia. This study compares the clinical performance of Ambu Aura40 LMA with Classic LMA in anaesthetised spontaneously breathing patients in terms of its

Effects of different larenageal mask types on hemodynamics and airway in pediatric

open access: yesMedicine Science, 2022
In pediatric cases, as in adults, supraglottic airway devices (SADs) are common in short-term interventions. We aimed to investigate the effects of these supraglottic airway devices, which we use in pediatric cases, on hemodynamic and airway in our study,

Multistability of saxophone oscillation regimes and its influence on sound production

open access: yesActa Acustica, 2021
The lowest fingerings of the saxophone can lead to several different regimes, depending on the musician’s control and the characteristics of the instrument. This is explored in this paper through a physical model of saxophone. The harmonic balance method

Fentanyl and Propofol Versus Fentanyl and Etomidate for the Insertion Conditions of Laryngeal Mask Airway: A Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Bioallied Sciences
Background: Laryngeal mask airway (LMA) is often used in short surgeries for its easy insertion and minimal invasiveness but successful placement needs reflex suppression and stable vitals.

Direct and inverse problem for geometric perturbation of the Laplace operator in a strip

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2019
This paper is concerned with the inverse problem of determining geometric shape of a part γ of the boundary of a perturbed strip Ω from a pair of Cauchy data of a harmonic function u in Ω. This leads to the study of the direct problem.

Laryngeal mask airway protector generates higher oropharyngeal leak pressures compared to the laryngeal mask airway supreme: A randomized clinical trial in the ambulatory surgery unit

open access: yesJournal of Anaesthesiology Clinical Pharmacology, 2021
Background and Aims: The Laryngeal Mask Airway (LMA) Protector™ is one of the latest introduced supraglottic airway devices. It provides access and functional separation of the respiratory and digestive tracts.

COMPARATIVE EVALUATION OF LMA CTRACH VERSUS LMA FASTRACH FOR TRACHEAL INTUBATION

open access: yesPARIPEX INDIAN JOURNAL OF RESEARCH, 2022
Introduction: TM The intubating laryngeal mask airway (ILMA) or LMA Fastrach was invented as a ventilatory device, and TM as a conduit for blind tracheal intubation. However, intubation through LMA Fastrach requires multiple attempts. LMA TM TM CTrach is a modification of LMA Fastrach and allows intubation under direct vision via an integrated ...

Internal Friction and Young's Modulus Measurements on SiO2 and Ta2O5 Films Done with an Ultra-High Q Silicon-Wafer Suspension

open access: yesArchives of Metallurgy and Materials, 2015
In order to study the internal friction of thin films a nodal suspension system called GeNS (Gentle Nodal Suspension) has been developed. The key features of this system are: i) the possibility to use substrates easily available like silicon wafers; ii ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Mitigating Concentration Polarization in Dry‐Processed Ultra‐Thick Cathodes Using a Low‐Viscosity Electrolyte With Soft Li+ Solvation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A low‐viscosity, soft‐solvating methyl ethanoate (ME)‐based electrolyte facilitates electrolyte infiltration into dense dry‐processed ultra‐thick NCM622 cathodes while reducing Li+ desolvation barriers at Li‐metal anodes. Balanced cathode‐scale ion transport and anode‐side interfacial kinetics mitigate concentration polarization and interfacial ...
