Stochastic analysis of an error power ratio scheme applied to the affine combination of two LMS adaptive filters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The affine combination of two adaptive filters that simultaneously adapt on the same inputs has been actively investigated. In these structures, the filter outputs are linearly combined to yield a performance that is better than that of either filter ...

High‐Resolution MRI Revealed Different Etiology‐Specific Associations With Cerebral Infarction in Adult Moyamoya Vasculopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective High‐resolution MRI enables detailed assessment of intracranial vessel wall pathology in moyamoya vasculopathy. We aimed to classify adult moyamoya vasculopathy etiologies using high‐resolution MRI and to examine subtype‐specific associations between high‐resolution MRI features and ischemic infarction.

The Complex Gaussian Kernel LMS Algorithm [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Although the real reproducing kernels are used in an increasing number of machine learning problems, complex kernels have not, yet, been used, in spite of their potential interest in applications such as communications. In this work, we focus our attention on the complex gaussian kernel and its possible application in the complex Kernel LMS algorithm ...

Memristor‐Driven Active‐Matrix Organic Light‐Emitting Diode for Energy Efficient and High‐Resolution Displays

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that memristors can replace conventional 2T–1C driving circuits with simplified 1T–1 m architectures by exploiting resistance switching. With ultra‐low switching voltages (< ±0.2 V) and multi‐level resistance states, the memristors precisely control the current injected into organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs).

An Alternative Approach to Obtain a New Gain in Step-Size of LMS Filters Dealing with Periodic Signals

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
Partial updates (PU) of adaptive filters have been successfully applied in different contexts to lower the computational costs of many control systems. In a PU adaptive algorithm, only a fraction of the coefficients is updated per iteration. Particularly,

A New Adaptive Constrained LMS Time Delay Estimation Algorithm

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper, a new adaptive constrained LMS time delay estimation (TDE) algorithm is devised. It is known that in the TDE problem, the time differences between relevant sensors can be modeled as a finite impulse response (FIR) filter whose weight ...

Machine Learning‐Assisted Inverse Design of Soft and Multifunctional Hybrid Liquid Metal Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A machine learning framework is presented for inverse design of synthesizable multifunctional composites containing both liquid metal and solid inclusions. By integrating physics‐based modeling, data‐driven prediction, and Bayesian optimization, the approach enables intelligent design of experiments to identify optimal compositions and realize these ...

Improving the Response of Accelerometers for Automotive Applications by Using LMS Adaptive Filters: Part II

open access: yesSensors, 2010
In this paper, the fast least-mean-squares (LMS) algorithm was used to both eliminate noise corrupting the important information coming from a piezoresisitive accelerometer for automotive applications, and improve the convergence rate of the filtering ...
