Hepatitis B reactivation characterized by HBsAg negativity and anti-HbsAg antibodies persistence in haematopoietic stem cell transplanted patient after lamivudine withdrawal

open access: yesBMC Infectious Diseases, 2017
Background HBV reactivation is associated with high mortality rates in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) and prophylactic lamivudine (LMV) treatment is suggested to prevent this phenomenon.

The Potyvirus Particle Recruits the Plant Translation Initiation Factor eIF4E by Means of the VPg covalently Linked to the Viral RNA

open access: yesMolecular Plant-Microbe Interactions, 2017
The viral protein genome-linked (VPg) of potyviruses is a protein covalently linked to the 5′ end of viral RNA. It interacts with eIF4E, a component of the cellular translation initiation complex.

Numerical solution of Riemann-Hilbert problems: Painleve II [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We describe a new spectral method for solving matrix-valued Riemann-Hilbert problems numerically. We demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach by computing solutions to the homogeneous Painleve II equation.

Design, Modelling and Control of a MW‐level Hydrogen Converter for an Off‐Grid DC Hydrogen Production System

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
This paper proposes a high‐power hydrogen converter specifically designed for megawatt‐level (MW‐scale) off‐grid hydrogen production systems powered by renewable energy sources. A two‐stage ISOP architecture is adopted to fulfill the demanding requirements of high voltage step‐up, high efficiency, low output ripple, and reliable power regulation.

Linhagens de alface-crespa para o verão resistentes ao Meloidogyne javanica e ao vírus mosaico-da-alface Lineages of crisp-leaf lettuce for summer cropping resistant to Meloidogyne javanica and to Lettuce mosaic virus

Stability and equation of state of face-centered cubic and hexagonal close packed phases of argon under pressure

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
The compression of argon is measured between 10 K and 296 K up to 20 GPa and and up to 114 GPa at 296 K in diamond anvil cells. Three samples conditioning are used: (1) single crystal sample directly compressed between the anvils, (2) powder sample ...

Distribution of genetic diversity in wild European populations of prickly lettuce (Lactuca serriola): implications for plant genetic resources management [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Genetic variation in Lactuca serriola, the closest wild relative of cultivated lettuce, was studied across Europe from the Czech Republic to the United Kingdom, using three molecular marker systems, simple sequence repeat (SSR, microsatellites), AFLP and

Genetic Reduction of the Translational Repressors FMRP and 4E‐BP2 Preserves Memory in Mouse Models of Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 1, January 2026.
Genetic reduction of the translational repressors FMRP or 4E‐BP2 prevents amyloid‐β oligomer–induced suppression of hippocampal protein synthesis and memory loss in mice. Targeting translational control preserves cognitive function in Alzheimer's models, revealing mRNA translation as a promising therapeutic axis for memory preservation.
