The Application of Risk Based-Design (RBD) Methodology For LNG Carrier Under Varied Sea State [PDF]

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences
The energy transition issue is being pursued following the outcomes of the 22nd Summit by the G-20 group. The use of Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) fuel has emerged as one of the solutions in addressing the energy transition challenge.

The Impact of Dispersion on Amplitude and Frequency Noise in a Yb-fiber Laser Comb [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We describe a Yb-fiber based laser comb, with a focus on the relationship between net-cavity dispersion and the frequency noise on the comb. While tuning the net cavity dispersion from anomalous to normal, we measure the amplitude noise (RIN), offset ...

Experimental Evaluation of Turning AISI 304 Using Minimum Quantity Lubrication With Vegetable‐Based Green Cutting Fluids

open access: yesMetalMat, EarlyView.
This study experimentally evaluates the performance of eco‐friendly vegetable‐based cutting fluids—coconut, sunflower, and palm oils—during turning of AISI 304 stainless steel under minimum quantity lubrication. Palm oil exhibited superior lubrication and cooling characteristics, yielding the lowest cutting force, temperature, and surface roughness ...

Reflections on Comparative Teaching in Public Administration

open access: yesPublic Administration and Development, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article integrates our scholarly experience of teaching comparative public administration. In doing so, we offer a unique perspective as the co‐authors carry several diverse attributes, among them their countries of origin, current country in which they are teaching, and their academic experience.

Sodium Induced Beneficial Effects in Wide Bandgap Cu(In,Ga)S2 Solar Cell With 15.7% Efficiency

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, EarlyView.
Wide bandgap Cu(In,Ga)S2 absorbers grown on soda‐lime glass (SLG) were optimized by introducing additional sodium (Na) via in situ NaF co‐evaporation. Optimal Na incorporation enhanced crystallinity, minimized Ga fluctuations across the depth, suppressed bulk defects, and reduced non‐radiative losses.
