Adaptive load-frequency control of the hungarian power system
Automatica, 1985An actually used regulator based on a self-tuning predictor of the area requirement and the required average for a finite time controller of the area control error provides improved performance for load-frequency control.

LOAD-FREQUENCY CONTROL WITH SHORT-TERM LOAD PREDICTION
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1987Abstract This paper presents a LFC algorithm based on very short-term load prediction. The application of high order difference ARI(p.d) model fitting random load time series to the on - line very short - term load prediction is described. Linear combination of load disturbance prediction and frequency deviation are used as input signal of LFC.

Adaptive Policy for Load Frequency Control
IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2018Till date, various load frequency control (LFC) schemes have been reported and every scheme has its own way of disturbance rejection capability. Utilizing some of them together may bring improved performance. Keeping this fact in mind, an adaptive control policy is proposed in this letter.

Interconnected system load-frequency control
Electrical Engineering, 1949IF ALL TIE LINES were of ample capacity and stations under automatic control were well distributed geographically, there would be no need for tie line control except where required by contract interchange schedules. With the large scale advent of system interconnections and the necessity for more efficient operation, the tendency is to use frequency ...

A Load-Frequency Fuzzy Control
1995The paper will demosntrate fuzzy control application to automatic load-frequency control in electric power systems. Several fuzzy algorithms will be analysed as well as algorithms with different feature and arrangement of membership functions, inference mechanism and defuzzy methods.

Design of Fractional Load Frequency Controller
2012 International Conference on Control Engineering and Communication Technology, 2012To improve the robustness and the dynamic response of the load-frequency controller in power systems, based on particle swarm optimization algorithm, the design method for fractional PID (proportional integral differential) controller is proposed, Simulation results showed that the fractional order controller had reduced the settling time and overshoot

Model Predictive Load-Frequency Control
IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2016A model predictive controller (MPC) for load frequency control (LFC) of an interconnected power system is investigated. The MPC is based on a simplified system model of the Nordic power system, and it takes into account limitations on tie-line power flow, generation capacity, and generation rate of change.

Optimal Decentralized Load Frequency Control
IEEE Power Engineering Review, 1987The paper presents a novel methodology for feasibility analysis and design of optimal decentralized load frequency control for multi-area interconnected electric power systems. Feasibility of the proposed decentralized control scheme is determined with a fixed mode evaluation algorithm based on eigenvalue dynamics.

On load frequency control in a deregulated environment
Proceeding of the 1996 IEEE International Conference on Control Applications IEEE International Conference on Control Applications held together with IEEE International Symposium on Intelligent Control IEEE International Symposium on Computer-Aided Contro, 2002The paper addresses the design of robust load frequency controllers for electric power systems in a deregulated environment. The system is modeled as a collection of independent distribution companies supplied by generation companies either directly or trough transmission companies.
