Topology optimization of load-bearing capacity [PDF]
The present work addresses the problem of maximizing a structure load-bearing capacity subject to given material strength properties and a material volume constraint. This problem can be viewed as an extension to limit analysis problems which consist in finding the maximum load capacity for a fixed geometry.

Stability bearing capacity of concrete filled steel tubular columns subjected to long-term load
Concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) are commonly used in modern building and bridge applications. Despite their popularity, studies on the investigation of the influence of long-term load on the stability bearing capacity of such elements are scarce.

The FEM Application in Numerical Analysis of Slewing Rings Roller/Ball Combination Bearing
Slewing bearings are selected based on the characteristics of capacity, which determine the area of the permissible load of the bearing. This capacity of a bearing does not take into account the real operating conditions of a bearing.

Block-box structures load-bearing capacity under special loads [PDF]
Block-box structures today are widely used in construction. Their main features are mobility, lightness and the possibility of assembling block-boxes for any technological purpose. Block-boxes are used in the arrangement of oil and gas fields, settlements and cities where it is necessary to carry out construction in a short period of time or where ...

Bearing Capacity of Pile Foundations Embedded in Clays and Sands Layer Predicted Using PDA Test and Static Load Test [PDF]
Static Load Test (SLT) is the realiable method to determine bearing capacity of pile foundations. However, SLT is relatively expensive and time consuming compared to Pile Driving Analyzer (PDA) test.

Load-bearing capacity of fire exposed composite columns
The cross-section load-bearing capacity of three types of fire exposed steel-concrete composite columns is analysed in this paper, and the results are compared with the load-bearing capacity of a reference reinforced-concrete column.
