Load distribution in early osteoarthritis
Knee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, 2016AbstractTotal knee replacement is an accepted standard of care for the treatment of advanced knee osteoarthritis with good results in the vast majority of older patients. The use in younger and more active populations, however, remains controversial due to concerns over activity restrictions, implant survival, and patient satisfaction with the ...

Load Distribution Services in HLA
Eighth IEEE International Symposium on Distributed Simulation and Real-Time Applications, 2004Running a large-scale HLA-based simulation in a distributed environment may require large amounts of computing resources at geographically different locations. A simulation running for a long period of time may result in imbalance of load levels at different computing hosts, hence leading to degradation of performance. Performance typically improves if

Load areas in distribution systems
2015 IEEE 15th International Conference on Environment and Electrical Engineering (EEEIC), 2015The updated and new monitoring and control functionalities for distribution systems make available a huge amount of information. Indeed, not all the available information is needed to be considered; a significant simplification could be achieved by selecting and treating only the relevant information.

Load Distribution in Native Cellulose
Biomacromolecules, 2003The properties of cellulose materials are dependent on interactions between and within the cellulose chains. To investigate the deformation behavior of cellulose and its relation to molecular straining, sheets with fibers oriented preferably in one direction were studied by dynamic FT-IR spectroscopy.

Load distribution in a CORBA environment
Proceedings of the International Symposium on Distributed Objects and Applications, 1999The design and implementation of a CORBA load distribution service for distributed scientific computing applications running in a network of workstations is described. The proposed approach is based on integrating load distribution into the CORBA naming service which in turn relies on information provided by the underlying WINNER resource management ...

Load Balancing in Distributed Systems
IEEE Transactions on Software Engineering, 1982In a distributed computing system made up of different types of processors each processor in the system may have different performance and reliability characteristics. In order to take advantage of this diversity of processing power, a modular distributed program should have its modules assigned in such a way that the applicable system performance ...

Load Distribution for Distributed Stream Processing
2004Distributed steam processing is necessary for a large class of stream-based applications To exploit the full power of distributed computation, effective load distribution techniques must be developed to optimize the system performance and cope with time-varying loads When traditional load balancing or load sharing strategies are applied to such systems,

Load areas in reconfiguration of distribution systems
2016 IEEE PES Innovative Smart Grid Technologies Conference Europe (ISGT-Europe), 2016With the moving of distribution systems towards a renewed architecture, new monitoring and control functionalities have emerged; with them a large amount of information need to be treated. Not all this information is strictly necessary; a relevant part of it can be simplified by the concept of Load Area: a group of prosumers whose power injection has a

Distribution of Drugs in Polymers Loaded by Swelling
Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1989Ethylene:vinyl acetate pellets were loaded at 20 degrees C by swelling the polymer with 1 and 3% (w/v) chloroformic solutions of tolbutamide. The energy dispersive X-ray analysis showed different concentrations of the tolbutamide sulfur in the pellets sections according to the loading time.

Distributed load aircraft concepts
16th Aerospace Sciences Meeting, 1978This paper presents distributed load aircraft design concepts that have as a major goal the significant increase in payload from reduction of the bending moments that are responsible for a large percentage of the structural weight. The judicious use of advanced technology, including composite structure and digital control of active control surfaces for
