A Novel Optimal Load Distribution Algorithm for Divisible Loads

Cluster Computing, 2003
A new model for divisible load problem is introduced. Its characteristics are analyzed. Optimal load distribution algorithms on the new model are presented for the tree-network and linear network. Applications that fit our model are briefly described. We show that our model outperforms the existing model such as Cheng–Robertazzi model. We show that the

Load balancing in distributed systems

ACM SIGMETRICS Performance Evaluation Review, 1989
Most distributed systems are characterized by distribution of both physical and logical features. The architecture of a distributed system is usually modular. Most distributed systems support a varying number of processing elements. The system hardware, software, data, user software and user data are distributed across the system.

Variable Load Distribution

Vulnerability, Uncertainty, and Risk, 2014
In the reliability calculation of the current structural codes, the variable load distribution is Gumbel set for one-year loads. This calculation includes two deficiencies: Firstly, the variable load distribution must be set for the working life, normally for 50 years.

Load research and load estimation in electricity distribution: Dissertation

1996
The topics introduced in this thesis are: the Finnish load research project, a simple form customer class load model, analysis of the origins of customers load distribution, a method for the estimation of the confidence interval of customer loads and Distribution Load Estimation (DLE) which utilises both the load models and measurements from ...
