A nonlinear multi-point meshing model of spur gears for determining the face load factor
Mechanism and Machine Theory, 2018The face load factor, which takes into account the influence of the non-uniform distribution of the load over the face width on the resulting stresses, is a significant coefficient of the load capacity calculation of spur gears.

This paper extends to the load flow problem the factorized solution methodology recently developed for equality-constrained state estimation. This is done by considering a redundant set of initial conditions in order to transform the undetermined system arising in the first linear stage into an overdetermined one.

Influence curves for factor loadings
British Journal of Mathematical and Statistical Psychology, 2005Influence curves for the initial and rotated loadings are derived for the maximum likelihood factor analysis (MLFA) model. Cook's distances based on the empirical influence curves of factor loadings are proposed for the identification of influential observations. The distances are shown to be invariant under scale transformation and factor rotation. We

Probability Based Load Criteria: Load Factors and Load Combinations
Journal of the Structural Division, 1982This is the second of two papers that describe a study conducted to develop probability-based load factors and load combinations suitable for use with common construction materials and technologies. In the second phase of the study, described in this paper, the checking equation format for the proposed load criteria was selected, and the load factors ...

Standard Errors for Rotated Factor Loadings
Psychometrika, 1973Beginning with the results of Girshick on the asymptotic distribution of principal component loadings and those of Lawley on the distribution of unrotated maximum likelihood factor loadings, the asymptotic distribution of the corresponding analytically rotated loadings is obtained.

Ergonomics, 1978
Abstract In this short introduction to the topic of the symposium, some analytical elements are suggested for the concept of work-load, the large variety or work-load categories is recalled, and mention is made of some factors determining work-load, which will be elaborated on in the papers presented by other authors.

Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology, 1941
THE values of the load factors used in de‐signing an aeroplane are almost direct measures of its strength. They also affect the weight of a certain portion of the aeroplane structure. Although the percentage of gross weight that depends directly on the magnitude of the design load factors is not as large as might be supposed, it represents a ...

Annual load relief map, peak load and load factor analysis
Proceedings of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers, 1917Description of the annual load relief map which is a device for visualizing the entire yearly load of central stations. Review of load characteristics, as exemplified by the annual load relief map. Notes on daylight saving relative to the decreasing of peak load, and improvement in load factor. Analysis of load factors as applied to ``base'' and ``top''
