Load flow optimization by particle swarm

Summary: The present paper shows an application of Particle Swarm Optimization (P.S.O.) to load flow optimization of electric power systems. The P.S.O. performances optimizing the nonlinear load flow problem have been validated and compared both versus alternative optimizers, such as genetic algorithms.
