A Load-Frequency Fuzzy Control

The paper will demosntrate fuzzy control application to automatic load-frequency control in electric power systems. Several fuzzy algorithms will be analysed as well as algorithms with different feature and arrangement of membership functions, inference mechanism and defuzzy methods.

Distributed Frequency-Preserving Optimal Load Control

Abstract Frequency control is traditionally done on the generation side. Recently we have formulated an optimal load control (OLC) problem and derived a load-side primary frequency control as a primal-dual solution to OLC. The load-side control rebalances power and resynchronize frequencies after a disturbance but cannot restore the nominal frequency.

A Nonlinear Load-Frequency Control Design

A load frequency control for a two-area interconnected system is designed taking into account the nonlinearity and stochasticy of the load and using an optimal linear strategy aided by stability analysis. An observer is proposed for its implementation. A coordinating control for the two area system based on acceleration feedback is suggested.
