Load Frequency Control of a Novel Renewable Energy Integrated Micro-Grid Containing Pumped Hydropower Energy Storage

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, a novel energy storage method based on pumped hydropower energy storage (PHES) for a renewable energy integrated micro-grid (REMG) is proposed, and the load frequency control (LFC) for the system is studied. In a typical REMG, micro pumped

Mechanoregulatory Effects of Cell‐Scale Microwells on Epithelial Cell Phenotype

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 38, 11 May 2026.
In small polycaprolactone microwells, A549 epithelial cells span well edges, in contrast to cells growing on flat substrates. Focal adhesion sites (yellow) concentrate at topographic boundaries, while cytoskeletal tension (magenta stress fibers) is transmitted to the nucleus (blue), reducing nuclear sphericity.

Optimal selection of LQR parameter using AIS for LFC in a multi-area power system

open access: yesJournal of Mechatronics, Electrical Power, and Vehicular Technology, 2016
This paper proposes a method to optimize the parameter of the linear quadratic regulator (LQR) using artificial immune system (AIS) via clonal selection. The parameters of LQR utilized in this paper are the weighting matrices Q and R.

Design Of Optimal Linear Quadratic Gaussian (Lqg) Controller For Load Frequency Control (Lfc) Using Genetic Algorithm (G.A) In Power System

open access: yes, 2018
Nowadays power demand is increasing continuously and the biggest challenge for the power system is to provide good quality of power to the consumer under changing load conditions. When real power changes, system frequency gets affected while reactive power is dependent on variation in voltage value.

Decentralized robust load-frequency control: A PI-based approach

open access: yes, 2004
This paper addresses a robust control method to decentralized PI-based load-frequency control (LFC) synthesis in a multi-area power system. The LFC problem is reduced to a static output feedback H∞ control problem and then it is solved using a developed ...

HYBRID GREY WOLF OPTIMIZATION-PATTERN SEARCH (hGWO-PS) OPTIMIZED 2DOF-PID CONTROLLERS FOR LOAD FREQUENCY CONTROL (LFC) IN INTERCONNECTED THERMAL POWER PLANTS

open access: yesICTACT Journal on Soft Computing, 2016
The combination of Grey Wolf Optimization and Pattern Search Technique (hGWO-PS) has been introduced to optimize the parameters of two Degree of Freedom Proportional-Integral-Derivative Controller (2DOF-PID) for controlling the load frequency in Automatic Generation Control (AGC) for interconnected power system. The interconnected two area power system
