Mechanoregulatory Effects of Cell‐Scale Microwells on Epithelial Cell Phenotype
In small polycaprolactone microwells, A549 epithelial cells span well edges, in contrast to cells growing on flat substrates. Focal adhesion sites (yellow) concentrate at topographic boundaries, while cytoskeletal tension (magenta stress fibers) is transmitted to the nucleus (blue), reducing nuclear sphericity.

Optimal selection of LQR parameter using AIS for LFC in a multi-area power system
This paper proposes a method to optimize the parameter of the linear quadratic regulator (LQR) using artificial immune system (AIS) via clonal selection. The parameters of LQR utilized in this paper are the weighting matrices Q and R.

Nowadays power demand is increasing continuously and the biggest challenge for the power system is to provide good quality of power to the consumer under changing load conditions. When real power changes, system frequency gets affected while reactive power is dependent on variation in voltage value.

Decentralized robust load-frequency control: A PI-based approach
This paper addresses a robust control method to decentralized PI-based load-frequency control (LFC) synthesis in a multi-area power system. The LFC problem is reduced to a static output feedback H∞ control problem and then it is solved using a developed ...
