A Study on the Load Sharing among Planet Gears according to the Phase of Carrier Pinhole Position Error in the Planetary Gearbox [PDF]
The planetary geartrain can be reduced in size and weight, and has excellent durability since the input torque is divided by the number of planet gears when the power is transmitted. In order to improve its durability, the load sharing among planet gears

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Load Balancing via Random Local Search in Closed and Open systems [PDF]
In this paper, we analyze the performance of random load resampling and migration strategies in parallel server systems. Clients initially attach to an arbitrary server, but may switch server independently at random instants of time in an attempt to ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Assigned responsibility for remote robot operation [PDF]
The remote control of robots, known as teleoperation, is a non-trivial task, requiring the operator to make decisions based on the information relayed by the robot about its own status as well as its surroundings.

Direct solution of the inverse optimization problem of load sharing between muscles
In the context the statically indeterminate muscular load sharing problem considered in biomechanics of the musculoskeletal system, a method is suggested of constructing an additively separable and homogenous cost function based on a solution to a ...
