Performance evolution in Distributed Real-Time System under dynamic load sharing scheme

2014 International Conference on Computing for Sustainable Global Development (INDIACom), 2014
Distributed Real-Time System [DRTS] is a prodigious platform for high performance parallel applications. The Performance of the system can be amended by using the policies of dynamic load sharing. Allocation of parallel application's tasks under load sharing schemes had increased the performance of the system.

Online performance tracking and load sharing optimization for parallel operation of gas compressors

Computers and Chemical Engineering, 2016
Abstract Compressor stations on natural gas pipelines are typically composed of multiple parallel compressors for operational flexibility. The aim of load sharing optimization is to operate the compressor units of a gas compression station in an energy efficient way while satisfying the varying gas demand.

Impact of smart grid traffic peak loads on shared LTE network performance

2013 IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC), 2013
The purpose of the paper is to examine if public long term evolution (LTE) network is suitable for smart grid (SG) automatic metering usage, in a suburban scenario, without causing significant hindrance to typical LTE traffic. In addition, the same generalized suburban scenario is evaluated with a hybrid sensor - LTE network where wireless sensor ...

Performance analysis of a hybrid renewable microgeneration system in load sharing applications

Applied Thermal Engineering, 2014
Abstract Governments around the world are taking measures to minimize the humans' impact on the climate and environment by reducing emissions and energy use in all sectors. Microgeneration utilizing renewable energy is a suitable approach to reduce energy consumption and carbon emission by offering high efficiency performance, offsetting the need for

Steady state performance analysis for load sharing in DC distributed generation system

2011 10th International Conference on Environment and Electrical Engineering, 2011
DC microgrids are gaining popularity over ac microgrids, because of high efficiency and reliability with low installation cost. To achieve equal load sharing (in per unit) among sources, droop based controllers are used. However, equal sharing of load is achieved in ideal system.

Rawls Scheduler: Load Considered Proportional Share Scheduling for High Performance Multimedia Systems

2010 International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Computing, Applications and Technologies, 2010
A scheduler for high performance systems containing mixed applications of both real-time multimedia and non real-time applications is proposed. The requirements of our proposed scheduler are twofold, i) all tasks, although the task is a non real-time task with a lower priority, never meet a starvation.

Performance Evaluation of a Load Sharing System on a Cluster of Workstations

1999
This paper presents a methodology to evaluate the performance of load allocating algorithms using queuing network facilities. First, we develop a generic model of load sharing systems. Then, a specific model is derived from the generic model that simulates a real load sharing system.

Effect of Time-Sharing on Monitoring Performance: Simple Mental Arithmetic as a Loading Task

Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1964
A three-group experiment was performed to evaluate the effect of a secondary task of simple mental arithmetic on visual monitoring performance. The primary task was detection of a slightly larger excursion of a voltmeter needle making 50 uniform excursions per minute. The length of the vigil was 48 min., during which 32 signals were presented.

A wireless load sharing controller to improve the performance of parallel-connected inverters

2008 Twenty-Third Annual IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition, 2008
In this paper, we present a wireless load sharing controller to improve the performance of parallel-connected inverters. It also explores the control of active and reactive circulating current through the analysis of the proposed parallel system model taking the over ratio of the line impedance into account.
