Grip and Grasp: Lizard Claw Inspired Robotic Manipulators

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Our study identifies the most effective lizard claw shape for use as an end effector in a bioinspired robotic manipulator. By examining key geometric features and combining them into comparative indices, the Crotaphytus collaris claw is found to be the best fit.

Multi‐Enzyme Mimetic Molybdenum Nitride Nanozymes Reshape Subgingival Microenvironment for Synergistic Periodontitis Therapy via ROS Regulation and Microbiome Remodeling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Periodontitis, a chronic inflammatory disease initiated and sustained by plaque microorganisms and host immune response, remains an intractable oral disease and a leading cause of tooth loss worldwide. Traditional mechanical debridement and adjunctive antibiotic or antiseptic therapy often shows limited efficacy due to the complex anatomical ...

Effect of Geometric Transmission Error on Load and Vibration Characteristic of Spiral Bevel Gear

open access: yesJixie chuandong, 2020
The tooth surface grid node coordinates are accurately calculated by the tooth surface equation. According to the density requirements of the grid nodes, the grid nodes are evenly divided, the tooth root transition curve mesh is encrypted, and the finite

TEHL analysis of VH-CATT cylindrical gear transmission in elliptical contact considering time-varying parameters

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2022
The lubrication characteristics of a cylindrical gear transmission with a variable hyperbolic circular-arc-tooth-trace (VH-CATT) are important theoretical bases for the tribology design of the gear and its fatigue life prediction.

Study of lubricant jet flow phenomena in spur gears: Out of mesh condition [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
The penetration depth onto the tooth flank of a jet of oil at different velocities pointed at the pitch line on the outgoing side of mesh was determined. The analysis determines the impingement depth for both the gear and the pinion.
