The Directed Ring Loading with Penalty Cost
2015We study the directed ring loading problem with penalty cost, which is to select some of given multicast requests represented by hyperedges with different demands and embed them in a directed ring, such that the sum of the maximum congestion among all links on the ring and the total penalty cost of the unselected multicast requests is minimized.

Invariants in loaded goal directed movements
Biological Cybernetics, 1984Goal directed movements, executed by means of a manipulator with various dynamics, were investigated in order to establish to what extent the loading affects the executed movement. The desired movement concept, together with a describing function model for goal directed movements, was applied to parameterize the movements.

RF transformer as a directional coupler with arbitrary load

ISCAS '03., 2003A bandwidth of a directional coupler for RF power measurement can be significantly extended utilizing a capacitive or a resistive voltage divider and a ferrite core wound with a low number of turns, perhaps one turn on each side. Considerably wide coupling ranges are achievable by arbitrary choosing load values on the coupling side.

Clinical measurement of distally directed headgear loading
American Journal of Orthodontics, 1985A method was developed to measure the distally directed load that is delivered to molar teeth by orthodontic headgear. Measurements on a three-dimensional model and on four patients showed that the intraoral load at the maxillary molar teeth was generally the same as or greater than the measured extraoral force.
