High‐Entropy Halides for Intercalation Battery Electrode Materials

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 12, Issue 9, May 5, 2025.
The introduction of the high‐entropy concept to oxides has resulted in improvements in electrochemical properties, which have also been recently applied to fluorides. This concept is a perspective of the fundamentals of high‐entropy concept applying to halides in general.

Holographic Chern-Simons Theories

open access: yes, 2014
Chern-Simons theories in three dimensions are topological field theories that may have a holographic interpretation for suitable chosen gauge groups and boundary conditions on the fields.

Rolling of Coxeter polyhedra along mirrors

open access: yes, 2009
The topic of the paper are developments of $n$-dimensional Coxeter polyhedra. We show that the surface of such polyhedron admits a canonical cutting such that each piece can be covered by a Coxeter $(n-1)$-dimensional domain.Comment: 20pages, 15 ...

Numerical Approaches in Nonlinear Fourier Transform‐Based Signal Processing for Telecommunications

open access: yesStudies in Applied Mathematics, Volume 154, Issue 1, January 2025.
ABSTRACT We discuss applications of the inverse scattering transform, also known as the nonlinear Fourier transform (NFT) in telecommunications, both for nonlinear optical fiber communication channel equalization and time‐domain signal processing techniques.

On the Question of the Solution of the Wave Equation

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
The problem of normal incidence of a plane wave on a layer with a one‐dimensional perturbation of the permittivity of the medium is considered under the condition that the spatial scale of the inhomogeneity can be both much smaller and on the order of the wavelength in vacuum.

On Elliptical Billiards in the Lobachevsky Space and associated Geodesic Hierarchies

open access: yes, 2002
We derive Cayley's type conditions for periodical trajectories for the billiard within an ellipsoid in the Lobachevsky space. It appears that these new conditions are of the same form as those obtained before for the Euclidean case.

Cunning Pathogen Tactics: Neutrophil Movement Influenced by Bacterial Attractants in the Experimental Model

open access: yesCellular Microbiology, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
To explore the peculiarities of neutrophil motility, two models of chemoattraction were created: a horizontal model, where a container with bacterial chemoattractant was attached laterally to the endotheliocyte monolayer, and a vertical model, simulating a pyemic focus in the lower part of the modified Boyden chamber.
