Trade Policy Formation when Geography Matters for Specialisation [PDF]
In this paper, trade policy formation is incorporated into an economic geography model. The political setup used is a modi- fied version of that introduced by Grossman and Helpman (1994) in which policy makers may be influenced by lobbying contributions.

The paper innovates by proxying changes in the regulatory environment using global Google search volume intensity data. ABSTRACT We investigate the impact of gubernatorial re‐election incentive and political factors on US public pension funds from 1990 to 2022. Our empirical analysis finds no significant overall relationship between gubernatorial re‐election incentives and local bias in the full sample.
