An embodied examination of the gendered impacts of time during unemployment and related considerations for organisational inclusion

open access: yesInternational Journal of Management Reviews, EarlyView.
Abstract Employers play a key role in supporting the inclusion of unemployed people. However, organisational diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices do not typically address discrimination against people experiencing unemployment. Utilising a semi‐systematic breakout review, we identify five gendered factors that contribute to the risk of ...

Results from the intracarotid amytal procedure in patients with uni or bitemporal lobe epilepsy and mesial sclerosis Resultados do teste intracarotídeo de amital em pacientes com epilepsia uni ou bilateral do lobo temporal e esclerose mesial

open access: yesArquivos de Neuro-Psiquiatria, 1995
This study discusses the results from the IAP and its lateralizing and prognostic value in patients with temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) and mesial temporal sclerosis (MTS). Eighteen patients were submitted to the IAP.

Annual Research Review: Neural mechanisms of eating disorders in youth – from current theory and findings to future directions

open access: yesJournal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, EarlyView.
Eating disorders are prevalent and profoundly debilitating psychiatric conditions with multifactorial etiology that frequently manifest during adolescence. This developmental stage is characterized by significant neurostructural and neurofunctional change, which may create a context conducive to the emergence of eating pathology.

Energy conditions in f(T) gravity with higher-derivative torsion terms

open access: yes, 2017
We study the energy conditions in the framework of the modi- fied gravity with higher-derivative torsional terms in the action. We discuss the viability of the model by studying the energy conditions in terms of the cosmographical parameters like Hubble,

Psychological and Clinical Factors Mediate Post‐COVID‐19 Irritable Bowel Syndrome

open access: yesNeurogastroenterology &Motility, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Exposure to COVID‐19 has been shown previously to be associated with a higher risk for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). This study aimed to better explain this relationship using mediation analysis. Methods This post hoc analysis of a multicenter cohort study includes 623 patients with and without COVID‐19 infection. All participants

Limited drought tolerance in the neotropical seasonally dry forest plants impairs future species richness

open access: yesPlant Biology, EarlyView.
Global climate change will likely modify the plant assemblages of the Neotropical seasonally dry forest based on the physiological capabilities of the species. Abstract Neotropical seasonal dry forest (NSDF) is one of the most threatened ecosystems according to global climate change predictions.

Trinta e nove (90,6%) pacientes apresentavam esclerose mesial temporal, e quatro (9,4%), tumores cerebrais.

The virial theorem and the dark matter problem in hybrid metric-Palatini gravity [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Hybrid metric-Palatini gravity is a recently proposed theory, consisting of the superposition of the metric Einstein-Hilbert Lagrangian with an $f(\cal R)$ term constructed \`{a} la Palatini. The theory predicts the existence of a long-range scalar field,

Dual Polarimetric Radar Vegetation Index for monitoring forest moisture stress using time series of Sentinel‐1 SAR data

open access: yesPlant Biology, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates the potential of the Sentinel‐1 Dual Polarimetric Radar Vegetation Index, combined with climate variables and the Standardized Precipitation–Evapotranspiration Index, to effectively detect and monitor drought‐induced stress in temperate broadleaf deciduous forests.

Emotional declarative memory assessment of patients with mesial temporal lobe epilepsy and patients submitted to mesial temporal lobectomy Avaliação da memória declarativa emocional em pacientes com epilepsia temporal mesial e pacientes submetidos à lobectomia temporal mesial

open access: yesArquivos de Neuro-Psiquiatria, 2010
Epileptic seizures generate cognitive and behavioral impacts in individuals who suffer from epilepsy. Declarative memory is one of the cognitive functions that can be affected by epileptic seizures.
