On approximation of local conservation laws by nonlocal conservation laws
Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2019This manuscript addresses scalar nonlocal conservation laws in one spatial dimension of the form \[ \partial_t q + \partial_x \left( \lambda\left( W_\eta[q] \right) q \right) = 0 \] with initial condition \(q(0,x)=q_0(x)\) for \(x \in \mathbb{R}\). Such equations occur, for instance, in modeling traffic flow, chemical ripening processes, supply chains,

Stochastic locality and conservation laws
Lettere al Nuovo Cimento, 1983Proofs are available in the literature that Bell inequalities hold both for localdeterministic hidden-variable theories and for «local»stochastic hidden-variable theories. It is here demonstrated that stochastic hidden-variable theories which obey Bell inequalities do not admit the usual conservation laws involving more than one particle.

Local Transformations and Conservation Laws
2009A continuous symmetry of a system of partial differential equations (PDEs) is a transformation that leaves invariant the solution manifold of the system, i.e, it maps (deforms) any solution of the system into a solution of the same system. This definition is topological in nature.
