Assessment of human sleep depth is being de-standardized by recently advised EEG electrode locations. [PDF]
Human sleep depth was traditionally assessed by scoring electro-encephalographic slow-wave amplitudes at the globally standardized C4-M1 electrode derivation.

Derivations, Local and 2-Local Derivations on Some Algebras of Operators on Hilbert C*-Modules [PDF]
For a commutative C*-algebra $\mathcal A$ with unit $e$ and a Hilbert~$\mathcal A$-module $\mathcal M$, denote by End$_{\mathcal A}(\mathcal M)$ the algebra of all bounded $\mathcal A$-linear mappings on $\mathcal M$, and by End$^*_{\mathcal A}(\mathcal M)$ the algebra of all adjointable mappings on $\mathcal M$.

We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Sobolev's and local derivatives [PDF]
Local derivatives of functions of several variables with values in a fixed Banach space are considered. It is proved that the local derivative and Sobolev's derivative are equivalent. By the mth local derivative of a function \(f\) in \(R^ q\) we mean the local limit of the expression \((1/h^ m)\Delta^{(m,h)}f(x)\) as \(h\to 0 (x,h\in R^ q\), \(m\) is ...

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

We show that any local derivation on the solvable Leibniz algebras whose nilradical is a quasi-filiform Leibniz algebra of maximum length with the maximal dimension of complementary space to the nilradical is a derivation.

Local Triple Derivations on Real C $$^*$$ ∗ -Algebras and JB $$^*$$ ∗ -Triples [PDF]
We study when a local triple derivation on a real JB∗-triple is a triple derivation. We find an example of a (real linear) local triple derivation on a rank-one Cartan factor of type I which is not a triple derivation.

α‐Synuclein aggregation landscape from phase separation to neurotoxic intermediates
Alpha‐synuclein aggregation in Parkinson's disease involves a complex landscape of transient intermediates, including oligomers, fibrils and liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS). A view is emerging in which LLPS maturation into solid‐like condensates may contribute to the formation of neurotoxic species.

On the local fractional derivative
The authors focus on the right (left) local fractional derivatives defined by Kolwankar and Gangal (KG-LFD). They introduce more general but weaker notions of LFDs by using limits of certain integral averages of the difference-quotient. They establish a structural theorem which says that if both the right and left KG-LFDs exists a.e.
