Distributed camera network localization [PDF]

open access: yesConference Record of the Thirty-Eighth Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2004., 2005
Localization, estimating the positions and orientations of a set of cameras, is a critical first step in camera-based sensor network applications such as geometric estimation, scene reconstruction, and motion tracking. We propose a new distributed localization algorithm for networks of cameras with sparse overlapping view structure that is energy ...

PICALM::MLLT10 translocated leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This comprehensive review of PICALM::MLLT10 translocated acute leukemia provides an in‐depth review of the structure and function of CALM, AF10, and the fusion oncoprotein (1). The multifaceted molecular mechanisms of oncogenesis, including nucleocytoplasmic shuttling (2), epigenetic modifications (3), and disruption of endocytosis (4), are then ...

On local geometry of nonholonomic rank 2 distributions

open access: yes, 2007
In 1910 E. Cartan constructed a canonical frame and found the most symmetric case for maximally nonholonomic rank 2 distributions in $\mathbb R^5$. We solve the analogous problem for germs of generic rank 2 distributions in ${\mathbb R}^n$ for n>5.

Species traits shape the relationship between local and regional species abundance distributions

open access: yesEcosphere, 2019
The species abundance distribution (SAD) depicts the relative abundance of species within a community, which is a key concept in ecology. Here, we test whether SADs are more likely to either follow a lognormal‐like or follow a logseries‐like distribution

Variability of the local φMS values over the gate area of MOS devices

open access: yesJournal of Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2005
The local value distributions of the effective contact potential difference (ECPD or the φMS factor) over the gate area of Al-SiO2-Si structures were investigated for the first time.

Double parton distributions in the pion from lattice QCD

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We perform a lattice study of double parton distributions in the pion, using the relationship between their Mellin moments and pion matrix elements of two local currents. A good statistical signal is obtained for almost all relevant Wick contractions. We

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Numerical analysis of temperature and current distributions in large-size intrinsic Josephson junctions with self-heating

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2020
In this study, we focused on temperature and current distributions in voltage-state large-size intrinsic Josephson junction (IJJ) mesas with a self-heating effect.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Local Distributed Verification

open access: yes, 2016
In the framework of distributed network computing, it is known that, for every network predicate, each network configuration that satisfies this predicate can be proved using distributed certificates which can be verified locally. However, this requires to leak information about the identities of the nodes in the certificates, which might not be ...
