Existence of localized excitations in nonlinear Hamiltonian lattices [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 1995
We consider time-periodic nonlinear localized excitations (NLEs) on one-dimensional translationally invariant Hamiltonian lattices with arbitrary finite interaction range and arbitrary finite number of degrees of freedom per unit cell. We analyse a mapping of the Fourier coefficients of the NLE solution.

Organizing the interface—Plasma membrane architecture and receptor dynamics in virus‐cell interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Regional Legislative Access in Optimizing The Presentation of Local Content in Broadcasting Institutions

open access: yesMimbar, 2020
Local contents in broadcasting institutions, both of local broadcasting stations (SPL) and network station systems (SSJ), still face a problem. An effort to encourage the existence of local content in broadcasting institutions can be done by regional ...

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Some existence and non-existence results for Poincare-Einstein metrics

open access: yes, 2017
: I will begin with a brief overview of the existence question for conformally compact Einstein manifolds with prescribed conformal infinity. After stating the seminal result of Graham-Lee, I will mention a recent non-existence result (joint with Qing ...

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.
