Functional localization in the cerebellum
Cortex, 2011In this paper we review the basic anatomy and functional localization in the cerebellum. Experimental anatomical studies emphasize the predominance of skeletomotor and visuomotor connections. Parietal lobe visual inputs arise principally from the dorsal stream extrastriate visual areas, which are specialized for the visual control of movement.

Localized RNAs and their functions
BioEssays, 1993AbstractThe eukaryotic cell is partitioned by membranes into spatially and functionally discrete subcellular organelles. In addition, the cytoplasm itself is partitioned into discrete subregions that carry out specific functions. Such compartmentation can be achieved by localizing proteins and RNAs to different subcellular regions.

Simple modifications to the Sayre squaring method determine a class of functional atomic form constraints representing the likelihood that a particular atomic form occupies a localized volume of the unit cell. The functional formulation, as opposed to the traditional structure-factor equation formulation, facilitates modeling multiple atom types and ...

FUNCTIONAL LOCALIZATION BY MAGNETOENCEPHALOGRAPHY
Neuroimaging Clinics of North America, 1995Magnetoencephalography combines the attributes of real-time millisecond temporal resolution with precise anatomic localization. In addition to characterizing spontaneous epileptiform discharges and slow wave activity, magnetoencephalography may be used to map sensorimotor, auditory, and visual functions.

Let \(D=\{ z:\; |z| 0\). Examples of pairs of disjoint spirals winding out to \(T\) are used to illustrate that not every exterior cover is a special cover. Secondly, the ``very nonouter function'' \(\alpha (z)=\exp [(z+ 1)/(z -1)]\) is considered and necessary and sufficient conditions are given on a simply connected subregion \(G\) of \(D\) so that \(

Minimization of Locally Lipschitzian Functions
SIAM Journal on Optimization, 1991Summary: This paper presents a globally convergent model algorithm for the minimization of a locally Lipschitzian function. The algorithm is built on an iteration function of two arguments, and the convergence theory is developed parallel to analogous results for the problem of solving systems of locally Lipschitzian equations.

The local Green’s function is used in many physical problems. In this paper, the properties of the local Green’s function are studied, and it is proved that the N×N local Green’s function can represent the results of the full N1×N1 Green’s function, where N is small (or at least finite) and N1 is large (or infinite). The accuracy of cutting the general

LOCALLY INTERNAL AGGREGATION FUNCTIONS
International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, 1999We introduce the concept of locally internal aggregation function with domain ℝn and values in ℝ, and demonstrate some results which lead to the characterization of such functions.
