Local XML functional dependencies
Proceedings of the fifth ACM international workshop on Web information and data management - WIDM '03, 2003Keys and functional dependencies play a fundamental role in relational databases where they are used in integrity enforcement and in database design. Similarly, these constraints will play a fundamental role in XML and recently keys and functional dependencies in XML have been defined.

Localization of electroreceptive function in rabbits
Physiology & Behavior, 2003The detection process by which animals react to the presence of electromagnetic fields (EMFs) may be a form of sensory transduction. However, the anatomic location of signal transduction in most species is unknown. Attempts to solve this problem by applying local EMFs and registering the resulting changes in the electroencephalogram (EEG) have not ...

Functional MRI localizing in the cerebellum
Neurosurgery Clinics of North America, 2005Mapping of cerebellar function by functional MRI now enables us not only to re-establish older anatomic findings of somatotopic representations but to gain new insights in the function of the cerebellum and its intimate relations of cerebral regions to serving sensorimotor function, sensory discrimination, and cognitive processing.

Properties of the Local Functional Calculus
Mathematical Proceedings of the Royal Irish Academy, 2002The main purpose of the present article is to develop the local functional calculus and to give some applications to local spectral theory. In order to express the results, assume that \(T\in B(X)\) has the single-valued extension property (SVEP) and let \(f\) be a holomorphic function on a neighborhood of a fixed compact subset \(K\) of \(\mathbb{C}\).

On the Efficiency of the Functional Localization Method
Differential Equations, 2020The paper considers the question of how precise the localization of invariant compact sets of a time-invariant system by the functional localization method can be in principle. It is shown that the union of all invariant compact sets can be dramatically different from the intersection of all localizing sets obtained by the functional method. A class of

Dystrophin: Localization and presumed function
Muscle & Nerve, 1991AbstractTo determine the localization and functional significance of dystrophin, we studied various tissues from almost the entire body of control and mdxmice, and control rats, using polyclonal antibodies against dystrophin. We observed a dystrophin reaction in synaptic regions such as neuromuscular junctions, the equatorial region of intrafusal ...

Localization via Density Functionals
1999After a discussion of the form of low-order density matrices built from strongly orthogonal geminals, density functional theory is utilized to deal with the phenomenon of Wigner electron crystallization. This is followed by a brief treatment of localized versus molecular orbital theories of electrons, illustrated by the stretched H2 molecule.
