Compatible group topologies on a locally quasi-convex abelian group and the Mackey group problem [PDF]
For a locally quasi-convex (lqc) abelian group $G$, we give the first description of all compatible group topologies on $G$ and apply this result to the Mackey group problem for lqc groups. We characterize lqc abelian groups which are Mackey groups or admit a Mackey group topology and provide a characterization of two Mackey groups whose product is ...

Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) accounts for half of the heart failure cases. It is characterised by microvascular dysfunction, associated with reduced pericyte coverage and diminished STAT3 expression in pericytes. Loss of STAT3 impairs pericyte adhesion, promotes senescence, and activates a pro‐fibrotic gene program.

Review of distributed energy storage application mode and optimal configuration
The wide application of distributed energy storage has effectively solved many problems caused by large-scale distributed generation (DG) access to the distribution network and the rapid increase of load on the planning and operation of the power grid ...

Renegade subhaloes in the Local Group [PDF]
Abstract Using a dark matter only Constrained Local UniversE Simulation (CLUES) we examine the existence of subhaloes that change their affiliation from one of the two prominent hosts in the Local Group (i.e. the Milky Way and the Andromeda galaxy) to the other, and call these objects ‘renegade subhaloes’.

A stepwise emergence of evolution in the RNA world
How did biological evolution emerge from chemical reactions? This perspective proposes a gradual scenario of self‐organization among RNA molecules, where catalytic feedback on random mixtures plays the central role. Short oligomers cross‐ligate, and self‐assembly enables heritable variations. An event of template‐externalization marks the transition to

On the Brauer group of a localization
AbstractLet X be a smooth variety over an algebraically closed field k and Y a closed subvariety of codimension 1. We associate to Y a graph Γ and use the homology of Γ to study the Brauer group of X — Y.

B cells sense external mechanical forces and convert them into biochemical signals through mechanotransduction. Understanding how malignant B cells respond to physical stimuli represents a groundbreaking area of research. This review examines the key mechano‐related molecules and pathways in B lymphocytes, highlights the most relevant techniques to ...
