Identification of nonlinear systems using generalized kernel models

open access: yes, 2005
Nonlinear system identification is considered using a generalized kernel regression model. Unlike the standard kernel model, which employs a fixed common variance for all the kernel regressors, each kernel regressor in the generalized kernel model has an

Al–Cu Composite Casting of Laser‐Deoxidized Copper: Bonding, Interfacial Chemistry, and Thermal Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates laser‐based oxide removal of Cu inserts in oxygen‐free conditions and examines long‐term oxidation kinetics and surface chemistry under different atmospheres via X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Al–Cu compound casting with differently oxidized surfaces is performed, and intermetallic phase formation, morphology, and thermal ...

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

A Novel LOF–KNN–Bessel Approach for Optimizing and Predicting Slope Deformation Monitoring Data: A Case Study of the Shilu Iron Mine

open access: yesMathematics
Slopes transitioning from open-pit to underground mining typically exhibit heterogeneous and nonlinear deformation characteristics. Under complex environmental disturbances, monitoring data are often affected by high noise and outliers, making it ...

Seismic data interpolation with shaping inversion to zero offset and least-squares flattening

open access: yes, 2019
Insufficient data often require regularized solutions to inverse problems in geophysics. In other words, we wish to find a model that best matches the data and obeys expected model behavior.

IN4MER Biomaterial Ink: A Phosphorescent Biosensing Biomaterial Ink for Multiple Analytes (Glucose, Lactate, Oxygen) Measurements and Temperature Sensing Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Multianalyte, real‐time monitoring of bioprinted scaffolds remains challenging. Phosphorescence‐lifetime–based, optically responsive microparticles are embedded in diverse printable hydrogels (κ‐carrageenan, GelMA, PEGDA) to form biomaterial inks that report oxygen, glucose, lactate, and temperature.

Spatially Optimized Multi-Level Modeling of Housing Price Differentiation and Resource Allocation Strategies

open access: yesBuildings
China’s rapid urbanization has intensified its intra-urban differentiation, with housing prices increasingly reflecting the uneven distribution of public resources and development opportunities.

Speckle‐Engineered Upconversion Amplification in Nanoemulsion‐Templated Hydrogel Microdomes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nanoemulsion‐confined PEGDA microdomes generate speckle‐like excitation fields that strongly amplify upconversion luminescence upon dehydration, enabling filter‐free visible readout with reversible on–off switching. DMD‐based lithography yields scalable, shape‐programmable arrays for moisture‐responsive displays and optical encryption.
