When is a regular local ring a locality?

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 1988
The author proves constructively and clearly the following nice fact: A normal local domain \((A,M)\) containing a field \(K\) is essentially of finite type over \(K\) if and only if: (1) the residue field \(A/M\) is a finitely generated extension of \(K\); (3) the quotient field \(L\) of \(A\) is a finitely generated extension of \(K\); and (2) \(\dim(

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Homotopy pro-nilpotent structured ring spectra and topological Quillen localization

open access: yes, 2019
The aim of this short paper is to show that the homotopy limit of any diagram of nilpotent structured ring spectra is TQ-local, where structured ring spectra are described as algebras over a spectral operad O; in particular, every homotopy pro-nilpotent ...

On the Structure of Complete Local Rings [PDF]

open access: yesNagoya Mathematical Journal, 1950
The concept of a local ring was introduced by Krull [2], who defined it as a Noetherian ringR(we say that a commutative ringRis Noetherian if every ideal inRhas a finite basis and ifRcontains the identity) which has only one maximal idealm. If the powers of m are defined as a system of neighbourhoods of zero, thenRbecomes a topological ring satisfying ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Study on Multiple Effects of Self-Healing Properties and Thermal Characteristics of Asphalt Pavement

open access: yesBuildings
Asphalt pavements are prone to cracking in low-temperature environments, and microwave heating (MH) can heal the cracks effectively. This research mainly investigates the different MH effects on the self-healing properties of asphalt mixtures.

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...
