Localizations of HNP rings [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1972
In this paper it is shown that every hereditary Noetherian prime ring is the intersection of a hereditary Noetherian prime ring having no invertible ideals with a bounded hereditary Noetherian prime ring in which every nonzero two-sided ideal contains an invertible two-sided ideal.

Commutative Chain Rings with Index of Nilpotency 5 and Residue Field Fpm

open access: yesAxioms
This paper gives a thorough characterization of chain rings with index of nilpotency 5 and residue field Fpm, where p represents a prime number, contributing valuable insights to the field of algebraic structures.

On hereditary irreducibility of some monomial matrices over local rings

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2021
We consider monomial matrices over a commutative local principal ideal ring $R$ of type $M(t,k,n)=\Phi\left(\begin{smallmatrix}I_k&0\\0\,\,&tI_{n-k}\end{smallmatrix}\right ...

Semigroups of valuations on local rings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper the question of which semigroups are realizable as the semigroup of values attained on a Noetherian local ring which is dominated by a valuation is considered.

Valuation Semigroups of Two Dimensional Local Rings

open access: yes, 2014
We consider the question of when a semigroup is the semigroup of a valuation dominating a two dimensional noetherian local domain, giving some surprising examples.

On Linear Codes over Local Rings of Order p4

open access: yesMathematics
Suppose R is a local ring with invariants p,n,r,m,k and mr=4, that is R of order p4. Then, R=R0+uR0+vR0+wR0 has maximal ideal J=uR0+vR0+wR0 of order p(m−1)r and a residue field F of order pr, where R0=GR(pn,r) is the coefficient subring of R.

Locally Finite Ring Varieties [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1975
Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for a variety of associative rings to be locally finite. These conditions are utilized to show that a variety is generated by a finite ring if, and only if, it contains only finitely many subvarieties.

Finite Local Rings of Length 4

open access: yesAxioms
This paper presents a comprehensive characterization of finite local rings of length 4 and with residue field Fpm, where p is a prime number. Such rings have an order of p4m elements.

On a class of Harada rings

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2022
In this study, inspired by the definition and a previous study [F. Eryılmaz, SS-lifting modules and rings, Miskolc Math. Notes 22 (2021), no. 2, 655–662], left Harada rings are adapted to ss-Harada rings, and the important properties of these rings are ...

A Distributed Model for Computing 3D Mesh Local Descriptors Based on k-Rings

open access: yesInterfases, 2022
In order to facilitate 3D object processing, it is common to use high-level representations such as local descriptors that are usually computed using defined neighborhoods. K-rings, a technique to define them, is widely used by several methods.
