On monoid graded local rings

open access: yesJournal of Pure and Applied Algebra, 2012
Let $ $ be a cancelation monoid with the neutral element $e$. Consider a $ $-graded ring $A=\oplus_{ \in }A_ $, which is not necessarily commutative. It is proved that $A_e$, the degree-$e$ part of $A$, is a local ring in the classical sense if and only if the graded two-sided ideal $\mathfrak{M}$ of $A$ generated by all non-invertible homogeneous

Does local anaesthetic reduce pain in rubber ring castration of neonatal lambs?

open access: yesVeterinary Evidence
PICO Question In lambs less than 7 days old undergoing castration with rubber rings does administration of local anaesthetic compared to no local anaesthetic result in a reduction of pain-related behaviours?

On Rees localiti es and $H_i$-local rings

open access: yesPacific Journal of Mathematics, 1975
The main theorem gives a necessary and sufficient condition for each Rees locality $\mathscr{L}=R[tb, u]_{(M,tb,u)}$ of a local ring $(R, M) $ with respect to a principal ideal $bR$ in $R$ to be either an $H_{i}$-ring (that is, for all prime ideals $p$ in $\mathscr{L}$ such that height $p=i$, depth $p=$ altitude $\mathscr{L}-i$) or a homogeneously $H_ ...

ALGORITHMS FOR CONSTRUCTING THE DESCRIPTORS OF LOCAL IMAGE FEATURES BASED ON MULTIRING NONPARAMETRIC TRANSFORMATION

open access: yesInformatika, 2017
Application of nonparametric transformations for construction of local image features descriptors is considered. An approach based on scalable Bresenham circles for multiring nonparametric transformations is proposed.

The Hidden Story of Chemical Evolution in Local Star-forming Nuclear Rings

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
A Very Large Telescope/MUSE population synthesis study of metallicities in the nuclear star-forming rings of four disk galaxies (NGC 613, NGC 1097, NGC 3351, NGC 7552) is presented.
