Local sensitivity analysis of a supercritical extraction model
Abstract This study investigates the process of chamomile oil extraction from chamomile flowers. A parameter‐distributed model, consisting of a set of partial differential equations, was used to describe the governing mass transfer phenomena between solid and fluid phases under supercritical conditions using carbon dioxide as the ...

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Uncertainty quantification and sensitivity analysis of vascular hemodynamics. Application to the common carotid artery [PDF]
Cardiovascular diseases have been the leading cause of death globally for the past decades. Many cardiovascular diseases are a result of structural changes in the arterial wall, which modify its stiffness. Thus, arterial stiffness has been established as

This systematic review synthesizes prognostic models for survival and recurrence in resected non‐small cell lung cancer. While many models demonstrate moderate to good discrimination, few are externally validated and reporting quality is variable, limiting clinical applicability and highlighting the need for robust, transparent model development ...
