Data Privacy Across Borders: A Comparative Analysis of European Union and Indian Protection Laws

open access: yesUniversity of Bologna Law Review
Cross-border data protection frameworks increasingly shape global digital governance as privacy rights intersect with economic imperatives. This article examines the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and India’s Digital Personal ...

Software service adaptation based on interface localisation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The aim of Web services is the provision of software services to a range of different users in different locations. Service localisation in this context can facilitate the internationalisation and localisation of services by allowing their adaption to ...

Modelling stem cell differentiation related processes—A practical overview for biologists

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Stem cell differentiation is complex and difficult to control experimentally. This review introduces suitable computational modelling approaches that can support stem cell research, from mechanistic ODE and abstract models to multiscale and deep learning methods.

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

Mapping the global battery start-up landscape across the value chain: Implications for market design and industrial policy

open access: yesEnergy Strategy Reviews
Battery technologies are central to decarbonisation and the global energy transition, yet the distribution and roles of start-ups along the value chain remain poorly characterised.

Abcès de la cuisse: penser à la tuberculose

open access: yesThe Pan African Medical Journal, 2013
La tuberculose se caractérise par la fréquence et le polymorphisme des localisations extra-pulmonaires qui représentent en moyenne 10 à 20% des cas. L'atteinte musculaire est rare, sa prévalence étant évaluée entre 0,01 et 2 %.

How does study quality affect the results of a diagnostic meta-analysis?

open access: yesBMC Medical Research Methodology, 2005
Background The use of systematic literature review to inform evidence based practice in diagnostics is rapidly expanding. Although the primary diagnostic literature is extensive, studies are often of low methodological quality or poorly reported.

Microbiome‐blood–brain barrier interactions in aging — mechanisms and therapeutic potential

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Aging reshapes the gut microbiome (↓SCFA‐producing commensals; ↑pro‐inflammatory outputs), shifting circulating metabolites (↓SCFAs; ↑LPS, ↑TMAO, ↑PAA) that act at the BBB to increase nonspecific transcytosis, alter transport, and promote astrocyte reactivity, heightening brain vulnerability.
