Spaceability in Banach Spaces Related to Locally Compact Groups

open access: yesپژوهش‌های ریاضی, 2021
In this paper, for a locally compact group  and a fixed number , we give some sufficient conditions for the set  to be spaceable in . Also, by some special Segal algebras which recently have been introduced, we find spaceable subsets of the Fourier ...

Interaction of MgO Recyclate‐Based Cermet Anode With KF‐AlF3‐Al2O3 at 800°C During Laboratory Scale Aluminum Molten Salt Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A carbon‐free, as‐sintered MgO–steel cermet anode, fabricated via cold isostatic pressing using MgO–C refractory recyclate, was evaluated under laboratory‐scale K‐cryolite electrolysis at 800°C. Operation at this reduced temperature, combined with the electrolyte's limited electrical conductivity, led to an increase in cell voltage.

Proper actions and proper invariant metrics

open access: yes, 2008
We show that if a (locally compact) group $G$ acts properly on a locally compact $\sigma$-compact space $X$ then there is a family of $G$-invariant proper continuous finite-valued pseudometrics which induces the topology of $X$.

LOCALLY COMPACT WREATH PRODUCTS [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Australian Mathematical Society, 2018
Wreath products of nondiscrete locally compact groups are usually not locally compact groups, nor even topological groups. As a substitute introduce a natural extension of the wreath product construction to the setting of locally compact groups. Applying this construction, we disprove a conjecture of Trofimov, constructing compactly generated locally ...

Impact of Sustainable Binders Based on Lignin and Collagen on the Volume Stability and Mechanical Properties of MgO‐C Refractories with MgO‐C Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Collagen hydrolysate is evaluated as a sustainable binder for MgO‐C refractories. Its thermally induced cross‐linking and gas release lead to expansion and cracking in large bricks, but tailored batches with lignin, recyclates, or fine graphite improve the gas release while thermal treatment and stability.

Inverse Spectrum and Structure of Topological Metagroups

open access: yesMathematics
In this article, a structure of topological metagroups is scrutinized. Their inverse spectra are studied. This also permits us to construct abundant families of topological metagroups and quasigroups.

Finite Unions of D-Spaces and Applications of Nearly Good Relation

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2013
Some results are obtained on finite unions of D-spaces. It is proved that if a space is the union of finitely many locally compact D-subspaces, then it is a D-space. It follows that a space is a D-space if it is the union of finitely many locally compact

Interpolation sets and the size of quotients of function spaces on a locally compact group [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We devise a fairly general method for estimating the size of quotients between algebras of functions on a locally compact group. This method is based on the concept of interpolation sets and unifies the approaches followed by many authors to obtain ...

Additive Manufacturing of Continuous Fibre Reinforced Composites: Process, Characterisation, Modelling, and Sustainability

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additive manufacturing provides precise control over the placement of continuous fibres within polymer matrices, enabling customised mechanical performance in composite components. This article explores processing strategies, mechanical testing, and modelling approaches for additive manufactured continuous fibre‐reinforced composites.

A Comparative Study: Globality versus Locality for Graph Construction in Discriminant Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
Local graph based discriminant analysis (DA) algorithms recently have attracted increasing attention to mitigate the limitations of global (graph) DA algorithms.
