Gelfand Triple Isomorphisms for Weighted Banach Spaces on Locally Compact Groups

open access: yesInternational Journal of Analysis and Applications, 2015
As in [1], we use the concept of wavelet transform on a locally compact group G to construct weighted Banach spaces H1w (G), we being a submultiple weight function on G. The main result of this paper provides an extension of a unitary mapping U from H(G1)

Dynamic Current Routing in Conductive Liquid Crystal Elastomers for Complex Deformation Actuators

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work introduces a novel actuation control strategy in which electrical stimulation generates localized Joule heating in conductive liquid crystal elastomer (LCE) surfaces, enabling complex 3D deformations from a single homogeneous surface without preprogramming.

Closed mappings of 𝜎-locally compact metric spaces

open access: yes, 1975
We show that a metric space M M is σ \sigma -locally compact if and only if every image of M M under a closed, continuous function is the countable union of closed, metrizable, locally compact ...

Tunable Extraordinary Optical Transmission in the Long‐Wavelength Infrared Range Using Electrostatic MEMS Actuation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A MEMS‐integrated metamaterial filter enables continuous, low‐voltage spectral tuning in the long‐wavelength infrared (LWIR). The device employs extraordinary optical transmission in a dual suspended metasurface stack, where electrostatic actuation precisely controls the intermembrane air gap.

Magnetic Textiles: A Review of Materials, Fabrication, Properties, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Magnetic textiles (M‐textiles) are emerging as a programmable materials platform that merges magnetic matter with hierarchical textile structures. This article consolidates magnetic material classes, textile architectures, and fabrication and magnetization strategies, revealing structure–property–function relationships that govern magneto‐mechanical ...

The construction of all locally compact extensions

open access: yes, 1981
The paper presents one of the ways to construct all the locally compact extensions of a given Tychonoff space T. First, there proved the “local” variant of the Stone-C̆ech theorem on “completely regular” Riesz spaces X(T) of continuous bounded functions ...

A Compact Incubation Platform for Long‐Term Cultivation of Biological Samples for Nitrogen‐Vacancy Center Widefield Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A compact incubation platform enables long‐term cultivation of biological samples directly on diamond quantum sensors for NV widefield magnetometry. The 3D‐printed biocompatible chamber provides a temperature controlled, CO2${\rm CO}_2$ and humidity rich environment while accommodating total internal reflection excitation geometry.

Strict Topology on Paracompact Locally Compact Spaces

open access: yes, 1977
In this paper, X denotes a Hausdorff paracompact locally compact space, E a Hausdorff locally convex space over K, the field of real or complex numbers (we call the elements of K scalars), a filtering upwards family of semi-norms on E generating the ...
