Bioorthogonal chemistry was applied to intracellularly photoactivate Doxorubicin (Dox) using gold nanostars (AuNSt) and near‐infrared (NIR) light. Two prodrugs were used: one photoactivatable, masked with 2‐nitrobenzyl carbamate (proDox1) and another photolabile, masked with 2‐nitrobenzyl diol (proDox2), which was attached to the AuNSt surface.

Classification theory of simple locally finite groups [PDF]
This thesis constitutes a contribution to applied stability theory. We consider the classification problem of the stable simple locally finite groups.

On locally finite minimal non-solvable groups
In the present work we consider infinite locally finite minimal non-solvable groups, and give certain characterizations. We also define generalizations of the centralizer to establish a result relevant to infinite locally finite minimal non-solvable ...

Groups with minimax commutator subgroup [PDF]
A result of Dixon, Evans and Smith shows that if $G$ is a locally (soluble-by-finite) group whose proper subgroups are (finite rank)-by-abelian, then $G$ itself has this property, i.e. the commutator subgroup of~$G$ has finite rank.

Opportunities of Semiconducting Oxide Nanostructures as Advanced Luminescent Materials in Photonics
The review discusses the challenges of wide and ultrawide bandgap semiconducting oxides as a suitable material platform for photonics. They offer great versatility in terms of tuning microstructure, native defects, doping, anisotropy, and micro‐ and nano‐structuring. The review focuses on their light emission, light‐confinement in optical cavities, and

Structure of Finite-Dimensional Protori
A Structure Theorem for Protori is derived for the category of finite-dimensional protori (compact connected abelian groups), which details the interplay between the properties of density, discreteness, torsion, and divisibility within a finite ...

Drawing inspiration from the layered hard‐soft architecture found in sea sponges, this work establishes a new framework for architected cementitious composites (ACC) through multi‐material additive manufacturing (MMAM) process. The integration of mortar and elastomer phases into layered architectures enables synergistic toughening mechanisms, including

Locally Finite Simple Groups of 1-Type
A locally finite, simple group G is said to be of 1-type if every Kegel cover for G has a factor which is an alternating group. In this paper we study the finite subgroups of locally finite simple groups of 1-type. We also introduce the concept of “block-

Survey on the Figà–Talamanca Herz algebra
This paper presents a self contained approach to the theory of convolution operators on locally compact groups (both commutative and non commutative) based on the use of the Figà−Talamanca Herz algebras.

Nilpotent $p$-local finite groups
In this paper we prove characterizations of $p$-nilpotency for fusion systems and $p$-local finite groups that are inspired by results in the literature for finite groups. In particular, we generalize criteria by Atiyah, Brunetti, Frobenius, Quillen, Stammbach and Tate.
