Inferences for Selected Location Quotients with Applications to Health Outcomes.
Location quotient (LQ) is an index frequently used in geography and economics to measure the relative concentration of activities. This quotient is calculated in a variety of ways depending on which group to use as a reference.

On Property (FA) for wreath products
We prove that the standard wreath product A \wr B has Property (FA) if and only if B has Property (FA) and A is a finitely generated group with finite abelianisation. We also prove an analogous result for hereditary Property (FA).

Diffraction‐Free Natural Optical Skyrmions and Their Subwavelength Confinement Around Vortices
ABSTRACT Diffraction causes waves to spread out as they propagate freely. The tighter the lateral confinement, the faster the spreading. Past research on how to suppress diffraction has been based on wave engineering and has led so far to idealized waves that, in real settings, eventually diffract.

Room‐temperature lower‐polariton‐like lasing is realized in an InGaN/GaN thin‐film ridge cavity with lateral distributed Bragg reflectors. Near‐field optical microscopy distinguishes the transverse side‐DBR‐confined mode from a longitudinal photon‐like mode, while simulations reproduce their spatial profiles.
