Functional Stability Despite Taxonomic Changes in Mixed‐Species Foraging Flock Participants Along an Elevational Gradient in Knuckles Montane Reserve, Sri Lanka 斯里兰卡纳克斯山地保护区 (Knuckles Montane Reserve) 海拔梯度上混合物种觅食群参与者的功能稳定性与分类变化

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, EarlyView.
This research reveals the functional stability of mixed species foraging flocks (MSF) and their foraging height change with different taxonomic differences along the elevational gradient at Knuckles Montane Reserve, Sri Lanka. This offers new insights into how MSFs sustain with the elevational gradients supporting the altitudinal shifting species ...

Health Biomarkers of Pesticide Exposure in Rural Populations of Santa Fe, Argentina: Oxidative Stress and Genotoxicity

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The present study aimed to quantify pesticide residues in environmental matrices and plasma and to evaluate their potential effects on oxidative stress and DNA damage in rural populations of Santa Fe province. Soil and rainwater samples were collected, and biological samples and semistructured surveys were obtained from volunteers in three ...

Bioelectrochemical single reactor for reductive and oxidative removal of trichloroethylene from contaminated groundwater

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Technology &Biotechnology, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND Chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbons such as trichloroethylene (TCE) are persistent groundwater contaminants due to improper disposal and low biodegradability. This work presents an innovative bioelectrochemical system for the integrated reductive/oxidative removal of TCE from contaminated water, implemented in a single tubular ...

Comparison of Low‐Iodine Concentration Quantification Accuracy and Contrast‐To‐Noise Ratio Across Three Dual‐Energy CT Techniques: A Phantom Study

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences, EarlyView.
Using a clinical abdominal CT protocol, all three DECT techniques accurately quantified iodine. Rapid kV‐switching achieved the lowest detectable and quantifiable iodine concentrations, while dual‐layer DECT provided the highest normalised contrast‐to‐noise ratio on 40‐keV virtual monoenergetic images.
